The online dockets reflect an unusual path: the Circuit Court for Baltimore City denied a motion to quash in an independent subpoena proceeding (C-24-CV-25-003532); the movant noted an appeal to the Appellate Court (ACM-REG-2744-2025), which transferred the case to the Supreme Court of Maryland, which initially docketed the case on its Miscellaneous Docket (SCM-MISC-0068-2025). On Friday, the Supreme Court of Maryland, on its own initiative, “ORDERED that a writ of certiorari shall issue to the Circuit Court for Baltimore City; and it is further ORDERED that this case is transferred to the regular docket as No. 3, September Term, 2026 (SCM-REG-0003-2026).”
