Seven Nominated for Montgomery County COSA Vacancy
The Appellate Courts Judicial Nominating Commission has nominated three judges and four practitioners for the vacancy created on the Court of Special Appeals when Governor Hogan elevated Judge Steven Gould to the Court of Appeals.
The nominees are:
Honorable Anne Korbel Albright of the Montgomery County Circuit Court
Honorable Sharon Veronica Burrell of the Montgomery County Circuit Court
Brian Scott Kleinbord of the Office of the Attorney General
Honorable Michael Joseph McAuliffe of the Montgomery County Circuit Court
Meghan Suzanne Skelton of the Military Commissions Defense Organization
Rosalyn Tang of Miles & Stockbridge
**James Bradford McCullough of Lerch Early & Brewer
The asterisks denote that Brad McCullough is the only pool candidate, having received a nomination for a prior Court of Special Appeals vacancy within the past two years; pool candidates receive automatic consideration by the Governor. He is a member of the blog’s editorial board and is not participating in our coverage of this vacancy.
The list of nominees now goes to the Governor.
